About Bee

For me, this site *was* just a way for me to share what I’m doing on a daily basis. I have recently ended this gig after one year. Keep coming back, I will be revamping soon and I will continue to upload photos every week!

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”
— Audrey Hepburn

I am currently at the University of Missouri to study photojournalism. I was not originally interested in journalism, but through my education I’m learning to love some of it’s unique aspects and possibilities. I want to learn how to tell a person’s story through pictures. People interest me, inspire me and push me. I’m sure my friends and family are tired of having a camera in their face, but I’m simply trying to learn.

I also really enjoy extremely shallow depth of field pictures. I like making the unnoticeable things noticeable and I want to show the beauty in the little things. If you’re looking for a new perspective on things, I believe this may be the place for you.

I am also minoring in business at Mizzou, hoping to one day start my own portrait photography studio of some kind. I have a long way to go, and I hope that you will enjoy these images as I work through the ups and downs of learning technicalities and specializations with my camera!

My camera’s name is Rico. He’s a Nikon D60. He’s a little bit shy, but once you warm up to him he loves to make you look great. I promise he’s a swell guy once you get used to him prying into your life!
